Hors les muren

As part of the urban festival Hors Les Muren, this project takes shape from reclaimed materials: old curved plywood radiator covers sourced from Rotor, recovered following the demolition of the WTC building in Brussels.

These industrial elements are transformed and reinterpreted to form a system that is both functional and expressive. Through assembly, cutting, and the addition of colour, they become supports, wayfinding elements, and identity objects within the festival space.

Other elements made from reclaimed wood and custom-designed metal bases complete this new graphic alphabet; a hybrid system, somewhere between furniture, signage, and scenographic installation, it structures pathways, informs visitors, and helps create a strong visual atmosphere that is immediately recognizable.

Rooted in a strategy of reuse, the project values what already exists and détournes its original function to give it new legibility in the public realm. The repeated, modular forms compose a simple yet powerful graphic language, capable of adapting to the different sites and configurations of the festival.
